David E. Parker Sr., Oct. 15, 1947-September 17, 2012: David Edward Parker, Sr., 64 years old, a longtime Peekskill resident and formerly of the Bronx, passed away on September 17, 2012. Born on October 15, 1947 to David A. Parker & Marion A. Jones. David served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970, during the Vietnam War. He has worked as a counselor at the F.D.R. Veterans Hospital at Montrose. David was a member of the St. John's #59 of International Masons of Peekskill, and was a member of the Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Peekskill. He was avid fisherman and loved photography.

Personally, I believe the "cops" should be focusing on the known areas to buy drugs -- it does not take a rocket scientist to see the dealers. What happened to the bike patrols used by the police dept ???

A recent study actually shows that the highest homicide rates are in the states with the fewest gun controls. States like Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi and Alaska just to name a few.
Sure, there are fewer homicides in Alaska than in New York, but adjusted for population, the per-ca-pita homicide rate is significantly lower in New York.
