Steven M. Berko, 90, a resident of Cortlandt Manor, died Dec. 14, 2012.
He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and a truck driver for Fleischmann’s/Nabisco Brands for 35 years. Berko was a member of the VFW Post #746 and the Elks BPOE Lodge #744.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Matthews Berko, daughters: Joanne (Kenneth) Zwick of Peekskill and Barbara (Richard) Boughton of Putnam Valley, stepchildren: Nancy Deceare, Joseph and James DiBari, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
His first wife, Estelle, predeceased him in 1978. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17 followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
