Caregivers Scheduled to Take a Break from Stress and Politics

Leave The Light On Foundation and Springvale Inn Gear Up for Caregiver Day of Pampering

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY, OCTOBER 4, 2013   Political campaigns and government shut-downs are not a priority for those who are caring for a sick relative or an aging parent.  This is why, despite the political climate, Leave The Light On Foundation has partnered with Springvale Inn Assisted Living to coordinate, “Take A Little Time For Yourself” - A Day of Pampering for Caregivers, this Saturday, October 5 at Springvale Inn in Croton-on-Hudson.

“While some political agendas obviously impact the ill and aging, politics are not the immediate focus for most caregivers who are overwhelmed and burned-out,” explained Carol Campbell, Leave The Light On Foundation Co-Founder.

“There are many people who are sitting in hospital waiting rooms, visiting nursing homes or caring for someone at home.  These people are doing their best to manage the care of their relative but have neglected their own well-being,” said Campbell.  “We have invited these caregivers to attend our event to receive a free massage, facial, blood pressure screening along with many other services. It will be a day absent of worry and absent of politics.”
