WRONG!
Am I just a hater of situps? NO. I just don't want to hurt my back or catapult myself into an injury.
So I've got a little something called the Kat Roll in my back pocket. I detail out more of the specifics in my book HOT MOMMA, but here is the gist......
Lay on your bed (comfy!) not the floor. Relax and put your arms by your sides. Let your knees bend off the bed. BREATHE. Then lift your legs up (bent at knees in 90 degree angle) and slowly roll your knees up to your shoulders. Try to get your butt up in the air. Then slowly roll back down so your legs are off the bed at the start position.
You may feel wobbly and unsure of yourself but you will be fine. The key here is to go SLOW and feel your lower abdominal muscles tightening. Try 20-50 reps.
Situps and crunches are great but to really engage that lower abdominal area, this is a cool way to get them moving and toning without hurting your back and hating toning exercises! Because you are doing them on your bed you can even watch TV while you are doing this and get updated on the news or your fav shows.
