It's Cookie Time!!!

Did you think you missed the boat this season? Samoas, Thin Mints, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles :) There is still time!

The Kings Ferry Girl Scout Troops received over 1,400 cases of preordered cookies last week at the Village of Buchanan Pavilion.  That is 17,000 boxes of cookies!  Are some of your neighbors and friends nibbling away on delicious Girl Scout cookies?  Did you think you missed the boat?  Samoas, Thin Mints, Trefoils, Tagalongs, Savannah Smiles :)  No worries at all.  You can still get your cookies this season.  The troops are participating in local sales outside grocery stores and malls.  Here is the link to our Cookie Locator:

The Kings Ferry Troops have also donated over 600 boxes of cookies to Operation Cookie Drop.  This program is our Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson effort to send donated boxes of cookies to our service men and women overseas, in hospitals and also in veterans homes.  We are having a special Cookie Drop event on Saturday June 1st from 8am-11am at the Westchester County Police Academy in Valhalla.  For more information you can contact events.kfgs@gmail.com.

If you missed our initial order and can’t make it to a local booth sale or if you just wanted to donate, you still have time!  Contact our team at events.kfgs@gmail.com and let us know what kind of cookies you want and we will make sure you get them.

Girl Scout cookie sales are one of the biggest events throughout the year for the Girl Scouts.  They get the girls involved, focused, managing money, and directly fund raising for their troops.  Each box sold gives $0.70 directly to the troops to fund events like camping, activities and troop specific programs.  Here are some more examples of what good things come out of selling cookies:
