Mercury: Why did you decide to run for a second term?

Mr. Testa: My first  term was very successful, but there is still much more work to be do to make Westchester County a better place to live.  Taxes were reduced dramaticlly, but there are more saveings to be realized. I also enjoy being a public servant and feel I have a lot more to give to my community.

Mercury: What are your plans for your second term?

Mr. Testa: There are major infrastructure projects needed for the area. I was able to obtain funds to have Blue Mountain Park to be repaved and all of Main street in Peekskill will be repaved and improved in 2012. I also look to have Rt. 202 and North Division street done as well(all three county roads). We, at the county board legislators, needed to create a climate where business is welcome and encouraged so that jobs will be created for our presidents.

How can you use your position to help the students of PHS?

Mr. Testa: Just as when I was mayor I am honored to help the city I was born and grew up in. By helping Peekskill as a whole and the residents and families who live here, it also helps the students/children of the city. By supporting the various organizations throughout the city. including the Peeskill Youth Bureau, Health Center, and others, it helps our students. Of course, by working at PHS, it gives me an opportunity to speak with, and understand, the concerns of the students.
