Honor Your Mom This Saturday at a Free Mother’s Day Brunch!

Hello Friend:

On Saturday I am hosting a FREE Mother’s Day Brunch to honor all moms! We will be specifically hosting Gold Star Mother’s throughout the Hudson Valley, in addition to over 100 moms in my Senate district.

While the day is to honor local Gold Star Mothers, the brunch is open to all Mother’s and their families that live in the Hudson Valley area.

A Gold Star Mother is a Mother who has lost a son or daughter in the war. The name came from the custom of families of servicemen hanging a banner called a Service Flag in the window of their homes. The Service Flag had a star for each family member in the United States Armed Forces. Living servicemen were represented by a blue star, and those who had lost their lives were represented by a gold star.

Once again, bring your mom this Saturday!! I will be hosting a free Mother’s Day Brunch on May 12th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Muriel H. Morabito Community Center, 29 Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor. Please RSVP at (845) 279-3773.

Mother’s Day is a special holiday to pay tribute to the wonderful women we cherish and love! I look forward spending this day with the inspiring and admirable mothers from the Hudson Valley including my own!
