The Network for Teaching
Entrepreneurship Fairchester Chapter (NFTE Fairchester) kicks off the Pitney Bowes Foundation Innovation
Day, part of the World Series of
Innovation, presented by Microsoft. The event invites young people in the
NFTE program from around the world to think creatively and invent new products or services that address
everyday challenges. During the event, contending student teams will develop
and submit their unique ideas and 60-second commercials in response to one of
the ten categories set forth by sponsoring companies. Students will have a
chance to win cash and prize packages described at www.nfte.com/innovation. The
categories are:

Using the curriculum and innovation
activities provided in the World Series of Innovation Toolkit, teams of 2 to 5
young innovators will select a challenge category, brainstorm ideas, and work
to complete all portions of the submission form and video commercial.
Students,
teachers and volunteers work together and solve real-world issues through experiential
activities that allow the students to think creatively and invent new products
or services that address every-day opportunities.
