Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller

From its first performance at Broadway's Virginia Theatre, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ: THE SONGS OF LEIBER AND STOLLER was an enormous hit with audiences and critics alike. Entertainment Weekly raved, "Nine of the most astounding voices on Broadway in years." Time Magazine declared, "These cats can sing, both as solo stunners and as part of street corner quartets that seem to have been together for years."

Featuring 40 songs penned by the legendary songwriting team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ brings the soundtrack of a generation to life. 2,036 performances over nearly five years earned the show the distinction of being the longest running musical revue in Broadway history.

SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ received a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album for its original cast recording as well as seven Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, Best Director, Best Choreography, Best Featured Actor (Victor Trent Cook) and Best Featured Actress (for its three leading ladies Brenda Braxton, BJ Crosby, and DeLee Lively).
