Sign dedication

The Van Cortlandtville Historical Society will dedicate new interpretive signage in the rehabilitated Van Cortlandt family plot in Hillside Cemetery. The signs, erected during the summer at the final resting place of some 30 members of the "first family" of the Town of Cortlandt, explain the importance of the family in the history of the town, New York State and the United States. The brief ceremony will be followed by light refreshments at the Little Red Schoolhouse, 297 Locust Ave., Cortlandt Manor. All are welcome at no charge.
