Pledge Anti-Bully Awards & Music Festival

Pledge Anti-Bully Awards is a state-wide school competition that
showcases the programs and creative arts of high school students.
Hundreds of schools will participate in bolstering the acknowledgment of
bullying efforts amongst their peers. It will allow schools to bring to
light the state funded anti-bullying programs and show, (in a friendly
school against school competition), how well those programs are implemented.

Students can compete in various humanitarian projects which run the
gamut from creating music videos about bullying, recording pop songs
about bullying, employing random acts of kindness' as it relates to
bullying, writing creative one page essays about bullying and many other
philanthropic categories.

The Pledge Anti-Bullying Awards
also showcases our educational influencers. Teachers, principals and
staff members from each school will be voted on by their students as
well as their peers for their exceptional actions towards curbing
bullying (The above & beyond Award).

The awards will take
place at Putnam County Veteran's Memorial Park in Carmel, NY with an
attendance of over 10,000 students and families that support the
movement. This entire effort will show that there is strength in numbers
and that not only will bullying never be tolerated but that this event
can help change the behaviors of the bullies themselves. Collectively,
we can save our children.
