Holy Week and Easter at Graymoor

The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement invite the public to their Holy Week and Easter vigils, prayer services and Masses at Graymoor in Garrison, NY.
 
The celebration of Easter begins on Palm Sunday, April 13, with the Lord’s Passion, blessing of the palms, procession and Eucharist at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Atonement Chapel (formerly Pilgrim Hall). At 7:00pm at St. Francis Chapel, there will be Taize Prayer around the Cross.

On Spy Wednesday, April 16, there will be a communal celebration of the sacrament of Reconciliation in the St. Pius X 3rd floor seminar room at 7:30pm.

Holy Thursday, April 17, there will be a Mass of the Lord’s Supper followed by Procession and Adoration at Our Lady of the Atonement Chapel at 8:00pm.

Good Friday, April 18, Tenebrae: Office of Readings and Morning Prayer will take place in St. Francis Chapel at 8:00am.  There will be a Celebration of the Lord’s Passion in Our Lady of the Atonement Chapel at 3:00pm, and at 8:00pm, weather permitting, the friars and visitors will pray the outdoor Stations of the Cross at the Shrine of St. Anthony.

Holy Saturday, April 19, Tenebrae: Office of Readings and Morning Prayer will take place in St. Francis Chapl at 8:00am.  The Great Vigil of Easter begins at 8:00pm in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Atonement.

Easter Sunday, April 20, the Sunrise Service begins at 6:09am at the Founders Tomb.  Eucharist is offered at Our Lady of the Atonement Chapel at 11:00am.

For those wishing to spend Holy Week in religious retreat, the Graymoor Spiritual Life Center invites those interested to register online at https://www.atonementfriars.org/eforms/retreatform.html .  Participants will spend the days of Easter week in prayer and reflection Arrive anytime on Spy Wednesday (or later, as necessary) to return home after dinner on Easter Sunday. The cost is $300 per person, single occupancy; $250 per person, double occupancy.
