Fun & Discovery @ NECS Spring Camp 4/14 - 18. Explore Cultures through Mask Making, Magic Workshop & much more

Week-long creative Spring camp at New Era Creative Space includes of art, music, team building games, drama, science exploration, learning together, outdoor play and lots of free play & special workshops! 

Campers will work as a group, on teams and individually. Special Workshops throughout the Week with special guest teachers and artists.

Highlights:

Learn Magic with Margaret Steele.  Participants will learn to construct and perform several amazing magic tricks in a fun, fast-paced workshop, followed by a professional magic show. 

Explore Different cultures through Mask Making with Lana Yu: Every afternoon children will explore the “self” and get messy with materials all the while. They will be engaged in interactive discussion and art-making. Learn about masks from different cultures and their significance through out history. Make a unique mask of your own drawing on your inner or outer world, alter-ego, animal self or fantasy figure. Anything goes! Find inspiration from a variety of world cultures. We will use paint, paper, natural and recycled materials to create one-of-a-kind objects that will allow each individual to explore their own identity beyond race and culture.
