WORDPLAY: Teen Poetry Workshops

Workshops: Tuesdays March 12 & 19, April 2 & 9 @ 3:30 PM

Open Mic Performance: Saturday April 13 @ 1:30 PM

The Field Library presents WORDPLAY, a series for Teens & Tweens in middle school and high school that combines the classic writing techniques of poetry with the theatrical performance element of spoken word. The series is made up of 4 creative workshops culminating with an Open Mic Performance where participants can share their creations with an intimate audience. Each workshop provides guidance in expression, introspection, public speaking, constructive criticism, editing, and teamwork and is a supportive community and a place to receive feedback and new ideas. The series is led by local Poet Ibrahim Siddiq with guest Spoken Word Artists each week.
