Peekskill High School’s Interact Club will be participating in Cablevision/MSG Varsity's Charity Champions contest on Saturday, January 5 at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen. Prior to an 11:30 a.m. lunch that day, Cablevision will be presenting a check to the club ($500.00 for the Interact Club’s fundraising projects to help the Salvation Army) and the Salvation Army ($1,000.00) for participating in the program.
The club is also in the running for an additional $5,000 for the Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry. The Salvation Army is located at 117 Nelson Ave. (across from City Hall and the Field Library-re brick building). After the ceremony members of the Interact Club will be serving lunch (as they always do on the 1st Saturday of each month) from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
