Breakfast with Holocaust Survivor Estelle Laughlin

Sunday, November 17th at 10 AM to 11:30 AM, Temple Israel is proud to present
Estelle Laughlin, Holocaust Survivor, who will speak about her new memoir
“Transcending Darkness – A Girl’s Journey Out of the Holocaust”.  Estelle
Laughlin was born in Warsaw, Poland and came to the United States in 1948. She
is a former 6th grade teacher and reading specialist and has been volunteering
at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum since 2007.  Last April, Estelle
was part of a delegation appointed by President Obama to represent the United
States at the 70th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. Her
book earned a 5 star review on Amazon.com.  As one reviewer states, “Estelle’s
story teaches us that the human spirit is alive and well, even in the face of
unspeakable brutality and evil.” Ms. Laughlin will have books on hand for sale
