2nd Annual Grand Tasting Event
When/Where: Saturday, Nov. 10, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Dylan's Wine Cellar, 50 Hudson Ave. in Peekskill.
Why Go: Dylan's Wine Cellar is hosting it's 2nd Annual Grand Tasting event that will be held at Taorminas Restaurant-59 Hudson Ave. We will have over 15 wine tables to visit and close to 100 wines to sample. All featured wines will be on deep discount during the tasting to help stock up for the upcoming Holiday season.
There is a cost of $5 per person to enter, which will be donated to Fred's Pantry to help them prepare for the upcoming holidays.
Peekskill Project V Second Sunday
When/Where: Sunday, Nov. 11, noon-9 p.m. and Sunday, September 30 from noon-5 p.m. at Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art and various locations
Why Go: This public festival is devoted to bringing contemporary art out of the museum and into the community. Peekskill Project V activates the urban environment and its inhabitants through site-specific art exhibitions, performances, and screenings sited in multiple venues throughout Peekskill.

Peekskill Arts Alliance Small Works Art Exhibit!
When/Where: Sunday, Nov. 11, 1 p.m at 910 Main Street in Peekskill
Why Go: Arts of all kinds can be found in this multifaceted group show. The Peekskill Arts Alliance has brought together painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry and performance for this month long show! On opening day, Adrea Elam will be performing a dance entitled, "Still Here and Not Going Away". On November 17th Marcy B. Freedman will be performing, "Good News, Bad News" a one-on-one interatvie performance. The gallery space will be opened weekends following the opening reception with surprises each week. Small works of art make for fabulous one of a kind gifts as well!
When/Where: Sunday, Nov. 11, 2 p.m at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 137 N Division St. in Peekskill
Why Go: Art Sanctuary at St. Peter's Episcopal Church will feature artists showing their work from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and music from classical guitarist Peter Griggs from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Artists who will be at the show include Cindy Booth, Maureen Winzig, Marc Yarnes and Lana Yu.
Price: Free will donations accepted.

Comedy Night: A Community Fundraiser by The Jack DeVito Foundation
When/Where: Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at Sinapi's Ceola Manor Restaurant, 489 East Main Street in Jefferson Valley.
Why Go:The Jack DeVito Foundation is raising money, which will directly go to various organizations in the community. The Foundation was established to honor Jack DeVito, a man who had dedicated his life to helping others, and to continue his legacy.
The evening begins with opening comedienne Adrienne Tolsch, headliner of every major comedy club in the nation. Headlining is Billy Garan, opening act for Jerry Seinfeld and Robert Klein, and featured on comedy shows on Showtime, A&E, and NBC. The closing act will be Patrick Perone (Elvis Tribute).
Price: $75 per person, includes cocktail hour at 7 p.m. and dinner at 8 p.m.

"One Love" Benefitting Madison Asia Bookall Foundation
When/Where: Sunday, Nov. 11 from 12pm -2pm at the Somers High School turf field
Why Go: The 2nd Annual "One Love" flag football game is for third grade boys and girls. This event is to honor the life and memory of 7-year-old Madison Bookall who died last year in a tragic car accident. The Madison Asia Bookall Foundation a nonprofit organization committed to granting scholarships to local underprivileged school age children by providing them with opportunities for artistic expression.

Hudson River Potters Pottery Show and Sale
Where/When: Briarcliff Congregational Church on Friday, Nov. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why go: A group of local ceramic artists will be showing and selling some of their original pieces this weekend in the church's parish house this weekend.

Get the Dirt on Compost: A Bedford Compost Tour
Where/When: Composting info session at John Jay Homestead, noon - 2 p.m., 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. tour
Why go: To learn from the Bedford 2020 Waste/Recycling Task Force all about the ease and many benefits of composting. It starts with a composting Info Session at John Jay Homestead featuring interactive displays; tips from experienced local composters; leaf mulching demo; a variety of composting bins, tools and accessories; and raffle. That's followed by a composting tour at local homes, schools and farms including: Armstrong House, Becker Residence, Lockwoods, Mitchell Residence, Mt. Kisco Child Care Center, Mt. Kisco Elementary School, River Hills, Sevenoaks. Advance registration is required.
Where/When: Pound Ridge Theatre Company, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., through November 17; Thursday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m.
Why go: Comic relief from the storm-related events of the past two weeks; plus, it's a "a hilarious and poignant play about key events in five women's lives, and the clothes they wore," written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron. It's directed by Larry Schneider. Bring your own food and spirits, doors open one hour prior to curtain.
Open House at the Bedford Historical Museum
Where/When: Bedford Hills Historical Museum, Sun. 3 p.m.
Why go: Do you have memories, letters, artifacts, photos of a relative or family member who served whom you would like to honor? You are invited to an Open House at the Bedford Hills Historical Museum to meet local men and women who served during World War II, as well as descendants and relatives of those who served during both World Wars I and II on Sunday, November 11, 3 to 5pm at the Bedford Hills Historical Museum (first floor of the Town House on 321 Bedford Road), Bedford Hills.
