Hurricane Sandy is begining to show her teeth as the first winds combine with high tides causing flooding and road closures in the area.
The New York City Police Department has moved its boats to local marinas in Tarrytown and Verplanck for safe harbor to ride out the storm.
Along the Hudson River, inlets and creeks are overflowing onto roadways. In Cortlandt, the Bear Mountain Bridge Road has been closed at the Annsville Creek circle.
