Rain, Peekskill Common Council Work Session and a Class on Interviewing Skills

Five things you should know for today, Feb. 19



1.) Rain in Today’s Forecast
The National Weather Service is predicting a 90 percent chance of rain, with patchy fog, before 1 p.m. today. There is 30 percent chance of rain showers before 8 p.m. Temperatures are expected to reach a high in the high-40s, before dropping to the mid-20s later tonight.

2.) Peekskill Common Council Workshop Scheduled Tonight
The Peekskill Common Council’s regularly scheduled board work session is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. today, inside city hall. Check here for a recap of tonight’s agenda.

3.) Paige Integrity in Peekskill Hosts Interview Workshop Today
The class, which is being offered for free by Paige Integrity, is for anyone entering the workforce. The course starts 6 p.m. inside the Learning Lounge, located at The Hat Factory o 1000 North Division Street, Suite 2E, in Peekskill. Call (914) 220-8356 to reserve a seat.  

4.) Hen Hud School Board to Host Budget Input Session Wednesday
The Hendrick Hudson school board is hosting an informal session Wednesday, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to  give the public a chance to talk about budget issues.  The session is scheduled to take place inside the board room of the district office, located at 61 Trolley Road in Montrose.

5.) Eli Manning to Host Yorktown's Guiding Eyes Golf Classic
New York Giants quarterback and two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning will reprise his role as host for Guiding Eyes for the Blind’s 36th Annual Golf Classic, to be held on Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10. Click here for more details.
