You see them every day at the stores and businesses that you visit. Whether it is the woman running the coffee shop, the man at the hardware store, or the friendly bookstore owner, we all have a favorite. While you wait on line for your goods maybe you appreciate the caring way he or she handles your order or maybe you’ve even become friends.
A lot of local businesses attract recurring customers because they run a good business, but also because customers like the guy or gal who owns the place.
Last night, Patch had a great time getting to know several local business owners and employees:
-Le Petite Spa’s Mary Prenon, who told us of the great organic products she uses and unique services she offers at her spa;
-Burke Heat’s Dee Baron, who told us a little about the local oil business;
and Nursing Center’s Bert J. Heinemann, who said the center will be partnering with the Hudson Valley Hospital Center for some new exciting programs;
-Kish Melwani of , who explained how important it is for businesses to have pretty but functional websites;
Croton-on-Hudson’s premier realtor and one of the Peekskill-Cortlandt areas most vibrant personalities (she also helped organize the event, which went great!)
-Croton’s Treasures & Tales Liz Jacobson, who told us about the great finds you can search for at her unique boutique
There were a few others that we didn’t get a chance to meet, but enjoyed getting a chance to chat with those we did.
Tell us who one of your favorite business owners is and get them featured on Patch!
