Question of the Day: What have you done to increase your own life expectancy?

Tell us in the comments.

Life expectancy here in the lower Hudson Valley continues to increase. Westchester County ranks 24th and 27th in life expectancy for males and females, respectively, in nation, According to a study reported on by the Washington Post. Rockland County ranks 44th for men and 62th for women; Putnam, 54th for men and 89th for women.

The study was undertaken by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaulation at the University of Washington. It compares life expectancy in 2007 with data from 1987-2007.

And the Washington Post came up with a really cool interactive graphic where you can see how your county compares.

So, the question of the day is, what have you done lately to increase your longevity? Quit smoking or drinking? Joined a gym? Clean living?

I recently started taking yoga classes under the friendly instruction of Brigid Murray at Peekskill's Where do you go to do life extending activities?
