Peekskill Common Council Meets, Sample Belgian Style Ales and a Free Blood Pressure Screening

2.) Special Common Council Meeting in Peekskill

The Peekskill Common Council is scheduled to have workshop and special meeting today. The workshop is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. During the meeting, the Common Council is expected to sign the firm Public Sector HR Consultants to administer human resource services to the city's employees. 3.) Brewery Ommegang Tap Takeover Tasting!

Brewery Ommegang, Cooperstown's brewer of Belgian style ales, will be at the Green Growler Craft Beer Grocery, located at 368 S. Riverside Ave. in Croton-on-Hudson, today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will have the following beers on tap for customers to try before they buy: Belgian Pale Ale, Abbey Ale, Rare Vos, Gnomegang, Belgian Independence Day Tripel and Art of Darkness.

4.) Polar Plunge at Riverfront Green Park in Peekskill

Join The Quiet Man Public House & the This Is Me Foundation for their first annual Polar Plunge on New Years Day. Participants will be taking sponsorships  to 'Plunge' into the Hudson on New Years Day with all proceeds going to scholarships for local students.  Interested in participating?
