Here are five things you need to know today, March 19.

 1.    Peekskill Common Council Work Session

The City Council will hold a work session where they will discuss a bed and breakfast, condo sanitation collection fees, an update on open studios, tattoos, and proposed amendments to business hours, noise and zoning codes, among other topics. Read the full agenda attached to this article. The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall.

2.    Buchanan Village Elections

3. Field Library 125th Anniversary Spelling Bee

Sign up for the Library’s speeling bee celebration on Sunday May 20 at 2 p.m. Kacey Morabito will be the Wueen Bee Top Judge. Preliminary elimination rounds will be on May 10 (for grades 4,5,6,7) and 17 (for grades 1,2,3) at 4:30 p.m. Call 737-0847 to sign up.
