Municipal Meetings, Community Swaps and Young Professionals Mingle

Five things you need to know today, Sept. 18.



1.) Cortlandt Town Board Meets Tonight
The Cortlandt town board will have its regularly scheduled business meeting 7:30 p.m. tonight at town hall. A copy of the meeting agenda is available in one of the PDFs to the right of this story.

2.) Peekskill Common Council Work Session Scheduled Tonight
The Peekskill Common Council has scheduled a work session this evening at 6:30 p.m. A copy of tonight’s agenda is available in one of the PDFs to the right of this story.

3.) Paramount Center for the Arts Needs Your Vote
The Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill has 240 votes in the Chase Bank Community Program. The 196 organizations with the most votes will win a piece of a $5 million pool of grant money. The Paramount was more than 560 votes away from grabbing the 196th spot Monday night. Voting ends on Wednesday.

4.) Hudson Valley Gateway Young Professionals is Looking for Members
The Hudson Valley Gateway Young Professionals networking group is holding its next after hours mingle event, route: {:controller=>"announcements", :action=>"show", :id=>"hv-gateway-young-professionals-after-hours"} --> from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at in Mohegan Lake. Professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 are welcome to attend.
