Five things you should know for Monday, Sept. 24

 

1.) The Peekskill Common Council Meets Tonight
The Peekskill Committee of the Whole and Common Council meetings are at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. respectively in City Hall. Check the PDFs to the right of this story for agendas.

2.) Cortlandt Town Board Work Session
The Cortlandt Town Board will be having a work session at 7 p.m. tonight. The Town Board meeting is tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

3.) "Positive Directions" to Hold Info Gathering on Peekskill Methadone Clinic Proposal
Members of the group "Positive Directions for Peekskill Team" will be outside the Peekskill Train Station, on the riverfront side, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25. The group will answer questions and concerns regarding the proposed methadone clinic on 3 Corporate Dr. in Peekskill.

4.) Infertility Talk at Hudson Valley Hospital Center
Dr. Hyacinth Browne is holding a general discussion on the causes and treatment options of infertility including the latest technologies available inside the Hudson Valley Hospital at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Browne is a patient advocate who tailors care and treatment to the individual needs and diagnosis of each patient. The talk will be held at the Wagner Conference Room. 

5.) Breast Cancer Support Group on Tuesday
Support Connection is hosting breast cancer support group that will discuss stages of diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment. The group will meet from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Support Connection Office, located on 40 Triangle Center Suite 100, in Yorktown Heights. Pre-registration is required.
