1. Indian Point Security Exercises
If you hear a lot of gunfire tonight, no need to duck or hide, it is simulated. Indian Point will be conducting security-training drills tonight. The simulated attack scenarios are intended to be as realistic as possible so the simulated weaponry sounds like actual gunfire.
2. NYSSMA at Hen Hud
On Friday and Saturday the Hendrick Hudson School District will host the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Up-County Solo Festival at Hendrick Hudson High School. Students from all over northern Westchester will be attending to perform pieces they have prepared before a panel of judges.
3. Lakeland Board of Education Meeting
The meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Lakeland School District Administration building.
4. Move Over Blitz Results
Last week state troopers conducted a “move over blitz,” targeting drivers who failed to exercise due care to avoid colliding with an authorized emergency vehicle stopped on the side of the road. During the one-week blitz, which ran form April 17-23, troopers issued 865 tickets, Major Michael A. Kopy, Troop K Commander, announced Monday.
