City Wide Tag Sale; NRC 'Open House;' Moratorium on Pawn Shops

Five things you need to know today, May 17.

The city of Peekskill will host a city wide tag sale in about 30 different locations this Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Spend the whole day looking for treasures around the city. You can find the list of all participants here. 

Also, don’t forget to stop by the City Hall tag sale. is running the tables there to raise funds for this year’s season. The Titans are asking the community to donate items for them to sell. You can also pick up registration packets for your child for the season.

is hosting a Career Day Friday, May 18.   Kids will hear from different professionals in the community.

5. Moratorium on Pawn Shops

The City of Peekskill Common Council adopted a resolution that places a six month moratorium on the issuance of licenses, permits and approvals for collateral loan brokers and collateral loan broker establishments (Pawn shops), at this week’s council meeting.
