Ceremonies Honor Local Military Vets
Photos from Veterans Days ceremonies in Peekskill and Cortlandt.
The City of Peekskill and the Town of Cortlandt both held ceremonies on Monday commemorating Veterans Day.
Peekskill's ceremony took place at Monument Park, located on Highland and North Division streets in Peekskill. Public officials in attendance included Peekskill Common Council; state Assemblywoman Sandy Galef; and Westchester County legislators John Testa, R-Peekskill, and Catherine Borgia, D-Ossining.
The guest speaker was former U.S. Marine William Nazario, who chairs the Cortlandt Hudson Valley Veteran’s Committee.

Cortlandt's ceremony took place in town hall. Cortlandt town officials were joined by county Executive John Astorino and many of teh public officials who attended Peekskill's ceremony. Vietnam veteran Lt. Col. Neil Gross of the Army Reserve was the guest speaker.
