Almost Business as Usual at Field, Hen Hud Libraries

The Field Library and Hendrick Hudson Free Library have resumed normal business hours today.

The Field and Hendrick Hudson Free libraries are open today.

“We’re open this morning for the first time since the storm,” said Sibyl  Canaan, director of the Field Library.  “Some of our staff have had difficulties because they live in Cortlandt and the surrounding area, but they’re all doing OK.”

Both libraries will are maintaining normal hours today and have power and wireless Internet available. The Field Library, located at 4 Nelson Ave. Peekskill, will close at 9 p.m., with the children’s library set to close at 6 p.m.  The Hendrick Hudson Free Library, located at 185 Kings Ferry Rd. in Montrose, will close at 8 p.m.

Canaan said the library’s haunted house is cancelled for today, but children are still welcome to stop by for arts and crafts. There will also be light refreshments later today.
