The Bedford Post Will Celebrate "Oktoberfest" With Four-Course, Prix-Fixe Dinner This Sunday

"Oktoberfest" will be celebrated with an emphasis on German food at the Bedford PostInn on Sunday, October 6. 

The evening's four-course, prix-fixe dinner, to be prepared in Executive Chef Jeremy McMillan's kitchen, will begin with a warm pretzel and will include German wurst, sauerbraten, saurkraut, braised red cabbage and potatoes. It will be accompanied by classic German music.

The menu follows:

  1. Starter. Brezel. Warm pretzel, beer cheese, honey mustard
  2. Appetizer. Knodel. Potato and rye dumplings, speck, blue cheese and pumpkin broth
  3. Main course. Family-style feast. Wurst, sauerbraten, saukraut, braised red cabbage and potatoes
  4. Dessert. Apfelstrudel. Apple and cinnamon pastry
The meal will be served in the Farmhouse, one of the two restaurants located at the Bedford Post. The cost for the prix-fixe dinner is $55 per person plus tax and tip. Dinner will be served from 5 to 9 p.m.
