Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Having the support of family, friends, and the community can help you get through it. For the past 5 years, the Hendrick Hudson Leos/ Lions have been holding a community event which is designed to Celebrate with Cancer Survivors, Remember those who lost their battle, and provide Support and Encouragement to those currently battling this disease.
Participants laugh, cry, and heal through this amazing evening where they know "You are never alone". Someone in the room has been where you've been. They've been in your shoes.
Please come to the kickoff ceremony to learn more about this amazing community event. Cancer never sleeps....and neither will we until we find a cure. The 2013 Stay Awake a Thon! --No, you don't have to stay all night- but you can if you want to! Although the kickoff is 2/5/13, the actual Stay Awake a Thon will be Saturday, May 4, 2013.
The Kickoff is Tuesday February 5, 2013 at the HHHS Library. Hear from our guest speakers, and learn about our beneficiaries! Proceeds will go to the Cancer Center at Hudson Valley Hospital, Maria Fareri Childrens Hospital, Kathleen Marks Foundation, and Happiness is Camping-for kids with cancer.
