The Blue Pig Ice Cream Store has Green Team Spirit! Store owner Lisa Moir shares how she creates the best tasting ice cream using fresh, local ingredients.
In my quest to draft our , I decided to venture out for some ice cream. Not just any ice cream but Blue Pig Ice Cream (Lemon Chiffon and Banana Peanut Crunch to be exact). This delectable dessert is hand-crafted with love by store owner Lisa Moir.
As is written on her blackboard, “Our ice cream is made daily, here in the shop with milk/cream from Hudson Valley Fresh dairy co-op. Fruit and herbs come from nearby farms (and our own rooftop garden!) along w/honey and maple syrup too. We use NO high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or flavors.”
