The City of Peekskill will join The American Legion, Captain Oliver C. Chase, Jr. Post 274 for a special tribute to local veterans on Monday, which will include musical performances and acknowledgement of area veterans and local heroes.
All are invited to the Veterans Day Ceremony which will honor all surviving veterans and those serving in the military today:
When: Monday, November 11, 2013, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Where: Monument Park, Peekskill. The park is located at the intersection of Highland and No. Division Streets.

The event is open to the public and includes remarks by Mayor Mary Foster, Congresswoman Nita Lowey and Father Karl Lindblad, a former Lt. Commander of the U.S. Navy and current Clinical Staff Chaplain at the Veterans Administration Hudson Valley Health Care.
