Hudson River HealthCare Patient Rep Acknowledged for Excellence in Patient Care

Hudson River HealthCare (HRHCare), a not-for-profit, federally qualified health care system offering a range of medical services at its facilities throughout New York State, announced today that it has presented Cynthia Urbina, a patient representative at the Peekskill Health Center in Peekskill, New York, with a Planetree Award as part of its Planetree Institute. The award acknowledges her exemplary efforts to advocate for patients, and create a more comfortable environment for them.

“Cynthia is one of the most helpful medical reps I have ever encountered,” said Anna Kauffman Nolon, MPH, President and CEO of HRHCare.  “She goes out of her way to help every patient she can, whether it is filling out paperwork for patients who need assistance or finding less expensive ways for patients to receive the care and treatment they need.  We are very happy to have her on board, and she is extremely deserving of this award”

The award honors individual HRHCare employees who consistently display extraordinary achievement in patient-/resident-centered care by creating a compassionate and personalized health care experience for patients.  Winners are nominated by colleagues based on a series of criteria ranging from individualized patient care to enhancing healthcare services throughout their respective facility.
