12 Grapes Celebrates 1,000th Live Music Performance May 6

Dozens of musicians will play hours of live music at the party.

On Sunday, May 6, in Peekskill, NY will present “The Best of 12 Grapes: Our 1,000th Live Music Performance.” 12 Grapes has accomplished this significant milestone in just over four years and to celebrate, will present over five hours of non-stop music featuring an outstanding group of talented performers and a wide range of music genres. 

Over 100 musicians who’ve performed at 12 Grapes have been invited to attend the 1,000th Performance. Among those scheduled to appear are Petey Hop (MC/host), Jon Cobert, Geoff Hartwell, Dave Keyes, The Chris O'Leary Band, Johnny Feds, Curtis Winchester, Dave Fields, Tommy “Blues Buddha” Dudley, Steve Wexler, Mishti Roy, Chris Fox, Eric Haight, Chris Burke, John Hahn, Al Frankel, Dave McDowell and many more. Several young musicians from 12 Grapes monthly Kids’ Open Mic Night will also perform, including Peekskill HS drummer Emmanuel Henry, acoustic duo The Knox Sisters, and a Rock/Blues group The Flaming Meatballs.

 Since it’s opening in ‘08, 12 Grapes Music & Wine Bar has become a premier live music venue in Westchester. They were named “Best New Live Music Spot” in 2009 from the editors of Westchester Magazine. Grammy winners and nominees, Emmy winners and some of the most talented professional musicians in the area have performed on their stage. Notable musicians include Grammy Winner Yonrico Scott, Emmy-nominated singer Russ Velasquez, Grammy-nominated guitarist Gil Parris, ex-Yankee outfielder turned Jazz guitarist Bernie Williams, 5-time Grammy nominated producer and keyboard player Jon Cobert and friend Mark Rivera, the sax player for Billy Joel.

Over the years, 12 Grapes has presented some exceptional Singer/Songwriters, including national-touring artist Daphne Willis from Nashville, Marc Von Em, who tours with The Rob Thomas Band, and award-winning Folk/Jazz vocalist KJ Denhert, to name just a few. The incomparable 18-piece Westchester Swing Band, led by drummer Greg Westhoff, performs at 12 Grapes the 2nd Sunday of each month.

12 Grapes is located at 12 North Division Street in historic downtown Peekskill. They are open for Dinner Tues-Fri, Brunch and Dinner Sat-Sun and feature live music every Thursday through Sunday evening. “The Best of 12 Grapes: Our 1,000th Live Music Performance” will be held on Sunday, May 6 from 5:00 – 10:30 pm. Buffet Dinner and music is $28 per person, and a music-only option is $10.
