Time to Dust off Those Cars

Warmer weather is here, come and check out the cars.

With the onset of warm weather and longer days have you ever noticed it becomes the season for motor cycles, and those classic cars? These are all men and woman who love their rides and love to show them off at local events, in hopes to share their interest with others. If you happen upon a local "cruise night" or local "car show," take time to support the car clubs that run these events. The proceeds they collect help out various charities.

We started our season off with a car show at Camp Combe a few weeks ago, this event was put on by the Hudson Valley Car Cruisers to raise money to help support the YMAC. And for those of you who have grown up in the Putnam Valley area or have children know this is a fantastic camp for children to go to for the summer. They not only learn those camp activities but as the children grow, they gain lifelong friendship with everyone else there.

And if you don't know who the Hudson Valley Car Cruisers, this car club donates their time to help judge many car events, you can also find them every Saturday night at McDonalds in the Cortlandt Town Center over in Mohegan Lake, stop in grab a bite to eat and check out all the cars some Saturday night. A nicer group of people you may never meet.  Follow our facebook page to get the updates on the local events, some of the locations have as much history to offer as the cars and motorcyles do.
