Old Man winter

Few tips for winter

So here we are finally those single digit temps , and a chill in the air. Of course just to change things up a bit we will add snow and ice are you ready ?   Just a few simple reminders to make your travels safe .

Its very important to check your tires ,they are the key to road safety, its safe to say tires with no tread belong on the racetrack not on the road way.  Now there are so many different tires make sure you speak to your tire dealer to get the right fit for your vehicle , and there are different measures of tire wear for different tires, so if you think you should have gotten more wear from a tire , maybe they werent designed that way.  When in doubt for the snowy season dont rule out studded snow tires for your vehicle, as old school as they can be they are great on some vehicles .

Vehicle maintance is very important remember there is nothing worse on a 5* morning then getting no heat in your vehicle , make sure the proper services are done an ounce of prevetion can make a world of difference in any repair , and might save you money in the long run.  Please remember much like humans, cars might take a little while to get fluids moving on those very cold days and your car may sound cranky .  If you think about it have your local shop check your battery , cold can drain a battery dead if its older.

Of course some of the best advice on those snowy days , if you dont need to travel wait until the roads are clear , and give yourself extra time when you travel.
