We were fortunate to attend the very first car show at the 100 acre grounds of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers facility yesterday . Not only was it a lovely day after the quick shower passed for the car lovers , but there were also plenty of other family fun things to do. I would suggest first take a tour of the building , we were greeted by a lovely lady who walked us thru the history of the building and its founders , we learned of the hardships during that time period . There are various rooms with exhibits from around the world that give a little in-site to other countries .
After we finished the tour it was about time for lunch the food was excellent , of course no car show should be without snow cones to top off that burger or dog. Now if you had little ones with you, they got to have their faces painted , which is a great way for the kids to pass the time. Also they were able to visit the SWAT truck and talk with the officers on hand , and try on their grear . Of course while enjoying the various activitaes there was always a live band singing in the background , some of the songs even got the oldtimers rockin .
We Brians Automotive Inc were asked to help pick out one of the classes , let me tell you it was not an easy task all of the cars were outstanding , as I am sure the rest of the volunteers working with the Road Knights Car Club felt the same way. I am glad we got to help out with this event and hope it grows even larger , only 200 cars this year, by the way thats something unheard of for a first year event , plan on double that next year , so make sure you dont miss out , if you didnt get there this year.
This fundraising event was organized and planned by the employees of Maryknoll to help give back and continue helping others.
