A 1954 Beauty

     Now I have said every old car has a story just ask its owner.  Meet our friend Ricky who we think found us because our truck with our name on it was home one afternoon with our name on it .

     Ricky has this timeless 1954 Ford Crown Vic , you know the one with the glass roof .  Well this one has been a project for a while and when Ricky was doing some work on it , and it slipped off the jack which could have ended badly for him he thought it was time to walk away .  Thank goodness he didn't , he had asked us if we would be interested in getting it running and of course road worthy , you know those little things like working brakes.  Of course we were overjoyed at the chance . You see growing up we had only heard the stories of the Crown Vics with the glass roof our parents had , and now we would have a chance to sit in the drivers seat of one and see what the attraction was about this roof top.  Well I gotta tell ya it is not the same as a convertable thats for sure .

     Now this 1954  while it was here' not only got its brakes in working order and started , but we got a chance to add a little auto bling to the fuel system which makes the tri-power engine not only powerful , but pretty to look at as well.

     Another special touch to this car is the shaved door handles , the matching color roof to the body of the car the molded headlights , and the tuck and roll seats. And a little custome pinstripe by 'Howie". But we think most important is this car is a tribute for Ricky as he has tagged it very tastefully to remember his days in the military serving our country. Of course the other added bonus being a grandfather he couldn't turn down giving his grandson a ride in it when he got it back to his home even if there were snow flurries  a true car guy .  So if you happen to see this beauty around please ask him about it , he assured us he will be driving it to work , if you are near Jefferson Valley, take a ride past the parking lot by Hair Liberation  see if he took it to work, and of course let us know.
