Wild Violinist Who Wowed Students Will Play for the Public at the Paramount

Daisy Joplin's work in the city's schools have thrilled students studying music.

Rock and classical music lovers share more than stereotypes would suggest, at least those who believe like Ray Charles and Luciano Pavarotti that there are only two kinds of music: good and bad.

Could be a motto for Daisy Jopling, the violinist who brings her band and their rock arrangements of classical music to the Paramount on March 19.

According to the Paramount's website, Jopling will celebrate Italian composers since March 19 is the feast of St. Joseph in Catholic and Episcopal church calendars.

Jopling is no stranger to certain Peekskill audiences. She put on three performances at Peekskill Middle School last month, playing with her trademark virtuosity and physicality.
