There were two gallery receptions in Peekskill Saturday.
“The Ballot Box” opened at The BeanRunner and featured the work of 20 artists.
The artists, who were invited by Peekskill artist Carla Rae Johnson, created works inspired by this year’s presidential election. The exhibit will be on display at the BeanRunner until Nov. 25.
The Peekskill Arts Alliance also hosted the opening day of its small works show Saturday at the old Clemente’s dry cleaners space, located at 910 Main Street.
The show, which runs until Nov. 18, features paintings, photography, sculptures, jewelry and performances.
On Nov. 17 Marcy B. Freedman will do her interactive performance "Good News, Bad News."
