“The Art of Having a Baby” Maternity Fair

Planning on having a baby? Don’t miss Hudson Valley Hospital Center’s “Art of Having a Baby” Maternity Fair on Sunday, May 15 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The fair will feature educational workshops including one for new dads, tours of the hospital’s Women’s Pavilion for Birthing, as well as, vendors, a fashion show and a display of the latest labor-saving gadgets to help parents care for the new arrivals. Also on exhibit at the fair will be the photos of babies throughout the generations who were born at Hudson Valley Hospital Center, which first opened its doors in 1889.

“Having a baby is a complicated process with so many decisions to be made,’’ said Sabrina Nitkowski-Keever, Director of Maternal and Child Health at Hudson Valley Hospital Center. “How do I choose a birthing plan? Should I breastfeed? How can I take the best care of my health during pregnancy?: are some of the questions that mothers-to-be frequently ask.’’
