Poetry Writing Workshop & Poetry Contest @ The Field

For all you poets, poet wannabe’s and other folks who just love to win contests:  come to a Poetry Writing Workshop for kids on Monday, April 2, at 2 pm. 

We’ll play some poetry games and talk about the ins and outs of acrostics, limericks and all manner of poetry.  We’ll even help you brainstorm ideas so you can write a poem of your own that you can enter into our Poetry Contest!

The Poetry Contest is in honor of The Field Library's 125th Anniversary.  So we're looking for poems that celebrate libraries and reading!  Everyone who enters gets a free book. And two Poetry Contest winners will get two free movie passes each for the UA Cortlandt Town Center Stadium. 

Deadline for poetry entries is April 5!
