Peekskill Local Author Book-signing & Reading

Peekskill resident Gene Tashoff will read from his newly published book of poetry and photography, Phoetry

Phoetry, Gene Tashoff’s recently published book, is a collection of his striking photographs coupled with his own poems.  In it, Mr. Tashoff explores the “marriage” of these two ways of seeing, and his talk will also provide a perspective on how one’s creative vision can now be realized in print using easy and elegant new ways of publishing.

Gene Tashoff was an advertising copywriter and creative director for five decades, creating television commercials and print ads for clients such as AT&T, British Airways, Ford, Goodyear, IBM, and Citibank.  In his leisure time, he is a published poet, photographer, and short story writer.  Gene’s short stories and poems have appeared in literary journals such as Evergreen Review, Northwest Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Hampton Shorts, and Wisconsin Review
