Peekskill resident, Milton Louis Steinberg, will read from his newly published novel, Drop of a Hat, April 13 7 p.m.
Drop of a Hat, Dr. Steinberg’s first novel, explores the variety of emotional experiences of a very ordinary human being subjected to extreme duress, and how the events in his life history have contributed to his distress--all played out against the background of the incomprehensible miracle of human existence and consciousness. It examines the breaking point where our emotions may overcome our moral judgment and, indeed, our rational judgment. Dr. Steinberg resides in Peekskill. He is professor emeritus from Marymount College of Fordham University where he taught psychology, neuroscience, statistics and computer courses. He sings with a barbershop harmony chorus (Westchester Chordsmen), plays guitar, writes songs and, lately, writes novels. This event is free and light refreshments will be served. Copies of Dr. Steinberg’s book will be available for sale and signing after the talk.
