Live Jazz: Cheryl Spence Lindsay & AD2

Cheryl grew up in the rural hills of Jamaica and is rooted in Christian inspirational music, jazz and classic R&B. She co-founded and was musical director for New Creation, a gospel group who toured internationally, opened for the Hawkins Family at an International Gospel Festival, did a private command performance for Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Manley, was nominated for a JAMI Award (the Jamaican equivalent of the Grammy), and received a prestigious Honeycomb Award for ground-breaking contributions to the development of Jamaican gospel music. Cheryl now takes pleasure in doing cabaret performances of Jazz, R&B classics as well.

Art Hightower, founder of A2D, is deeply called by the drums, and has performed with Chuck Mangione, Doc Severinsen, Jeff Tyzick, The Dixie Cups, Pee Wee Ellis, Barbra Mason, Loretta Holloway, Buster Cooper, Dennis Wilson, Ray Blue, David Amram and was the drummer for the national tour of "Ain't Misbehavin'" (2002-3).
