Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival 25th Anniversary Gala

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival invites loyal fans young and old to celebrate all things theatrical on Saturday, June 11 for its 25th Anniversary Benefit. The grounds of Boscobel House and Gardens in Garrison will open at 4:30pm for friends and supporters of the Festival to enjoy an evening of mixing and mingling with the 2011 HVSF Company, a preview of this year’s Silver Anniversary season and a live auction presented by members of the Company in their inimitable signature style. Tickets start at $200. For more information about this year’s Benefit party, please visit http://hvshakespeare.org/ or call the HVSF Box Office at (845) 265-9575.

While the gala benefits the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, it is also an opportunity for the Festival to celebrate the contributions of its supporters. This year, the Festival honors the six individuals who have driven the vision and spirit of HVSF since day one: Festival founders  Anita ("Nick") Hart Balter and Sarah ("Sally") Burke, first president Marit Kulleseid, founding directors Melissa Stern Lourie and Terry O'Brien, and founding producer Patricia M. Cloherty. The funds raised from the evening will allow the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival to continue to make the works of William Shakespeare accessible to all audiences with their critically acclaimed, fresh interpretations.
