Charlie Scott Benefit and Blues Jam May 30

At 12 Grapes on Memorial Day, jazz and blues will commemorate the late Charlie Scott, "grand daddy of blues in the county."

Jazz musicians from across the area will be playing in memory of Peekskill resident Charlie Scott on Monday, May 30 at 12 Grapes Music and Wine Bar. in January while performing Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” on stage at 12 Grapes during a benefit for his friend Eric Haight. Haight will be performing at the Scott benefit on Monday, along with many other musicians who knew Scott well and appreciated his music.

The benefit starts at 8 p.m., $25 includes a buffet dinner and music. For music only, $10. Read more about the event in Duke Covone’s article in the Examiner.
