Your Weekend: Live Music in Peekskill, Trolley and Tea

There are tons of ways to keep busy around Cortlandt and Peekskill this weekend, and we're here to help you decide which happenings are for you.

Joe Duraes Live at The Peekskill Coffee House
When: 8 p.m. Friday
Where: The Peekskill Coffee House (101 South Division Street) in Peekskill
Why go? Duraes, who is from the area, will share his "warm tenor and electrified acoustic alt-rock groove" for folks looking to unwind just in time for the weekend.

Peekskill Trolley 'Afternoon Tea' Tour
When: 3:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: Central Avenue (between South Division Street and Nelson Avenue) in Peekskill
Why go? Hop on the trolley and see the city's historic sites. You'll hear about Revolutionary War events that took place in Peekskill. Tour organizers encourage attendants to come to Kathleen's Tea Room (979 Main Street) afterward. Reservations are requested (via phone at 914-730-5408 or email peekskilltrolleycompany@gmail.com).

'This Is Me Foundation' Fundraiser
When: 2 p.m. Sunday
Where: 1829 Maple Avenue in Peekskill
Why go? This carnival-like event aims to raise awareness about alopecia, which is hair-loss on the head or body. There will be drinks and food, games, prizes and more.
