Winter Weather Advisory: MTA issues Special Snow Storm Service

Extra trains will be added during the early afternoon, but service will be reduced during the afternoon/evening peak.

Metro North announced they're making changes to ensure passenger safety with the impending snowstorm.

That means extra trains during the early afternoon to bring customers home—resulting in reduced service during the afternoon/evening peak. Officials said train combinations and cancellations are possible at any time, but they may increase in likelihood as the evening progresses to prevent trains from becoming stranded during the storm.
